Summer Program

The summer months were buzzing with exciting activities at Maranatha. Firstly, we kicked-off our summer with our Pre-K Graduation. Our splash days cooled the kids down on the hot summer days, along with pony rides and amazing field trips. Our kids explored their artistic side with our theatre classes and grew awareness with our field trip to the Yorba Linda fire department. If that wasn’t awesome enough, we had many themed days including: Mad Scientist Play, Father’s Day BBQ, Great Park Balloon visit, Lizard Wizard Show, Celebrity Reader Day, day at Tanaka Farms, Kidseum visit, Irvine Park and Yorba Regional Park visits, Field trip to Scooter’s Jungle and Pretend City visit.

What a wonderful end-of-summer production, “ The Amazing Garden Adventure” . We are so proud of our children. They wrote the story themselves as well as designed and created costumes, props and scenery. Thank you to Ms. Sonya, Ms. Mary-Ann, Ms. Kathy and all the Maranatha teachers for all the extra time and talent put into making this show the best ever.

What we Offer

Our philosophy at Maranatha Child Development Center is based on the belief that we have the responsibility to nurture each child’s development and learning style, utilizing experiences through interactions that foster a zest for life and a love of learning.

Preschool Age Children

We help preschool-age children gain independence and explore the world. We provide new challenges and encouragement for school-age children.

Infants & Toddlers

We nurture your infant or toddler and help them be healthy, smart and strong.

Spanish Enrichment Program

We embrace and recognize the benefits of a linguistically integrated approach to learning in the early years. Children are generally considered capable of acquiring a new language rapidly and with little effort. The goals are:

1. Develop bilingual, bi-literate and bi-cognitive skills in English & Spanish.
2. Promote cross-cultural, racial, and ethnic tolerance.
3. Foster an understanding of and appreciation for diversity.

A few highlights:
• Toddlers will learn songs, number and colors in Spanish.
• Musical instruments
• Guest storytellers
• Geography and Art will be embedded
• Children will explore how to cook a variety of foods
